BABIES: SUDDEN DEATH, OVERHEATING, POLYESTER BLANKETS.

The extraordinary ability to retain heat by polyester blankets and possibly some other types of tissues should be cause for serious concern and care in their use with babies.
Sudden death of babies may relate to overheating. Avoid agonizing thermal stress is important too. Unable to speak, babies only manifest themselves by crying, whose motive is often misunderstood. Mothers, parents and caregivers should be very careful to check if the baby is not subject to an overheating situation, not simply just check the extremities, hands and feet, generally colder, but also the temperature of the whole body.
Thus, use of fabrics that allow adequate ventilation and moisture exchange is essential. Internet specialized sites on the use of adequate materials, as sleeping bags of cotton and merino wool are available. Alert mothers with limited access to information is important.
By the way, overheating would tend to be more common in winter.
People in immobility and powerless to communicate, obviously also deserve intense attention on the theme. Help spread this information in support of the comfort and safety for our babies and people unable to communicate.
